audioXpress

The original publisher of audioXpress was the Audio Amateur company which was founded by Edward T. Dell in 1970, and was the beginning for Audio Electronics, Speaker Builder, Glass Audio, Multimedia Manufacturer, and other audio-focused periodicals. Eventually, in January 2001, Ed Dell decided to create a monthly magazine, merging those quarterly publications into audioXpress.

Since its foundation, audioXpress inherited a long-standing tradition of serving up the best in audio DIY, electronics and innovations — the reason why audioXpress magazine adopted the motto “Advancing the Evolution of Audio Technology Since 1970.” Today, that sentence reflects our mission as a Global Audio Development and Design magazine and website.

Currently audioXpress is the leading global audio development & design magazine. It remains the authority on audio development and design by connecting manufacturers and distributors with developers, builders, brands, buyers and consultants around the globe! Its readers are audio product designers, developers, consultants, integrators, DIY enthusiasts, opinion leaders and your best customers. All of them agree that the coverage of trending topics, unique in the audio industry, makes audioXpress a must read.

audioXpress’ audience has expanded significantly since 2014, when the magazine embraced its audio development focus. Now reaching 52,000+ readers all over the world (print and digital combined circulation). More than 60% of the magazine's renovated audience are engineers working in manufacturer’s R&D departments, engineers involved in product design and development, production, systems, integrators, and consultancy.

Every month, audioXpress combines the best educational articles on topics such audio electronics, speaker and headphone design, amplifiers (from tube to Class D), acoustics, practical test and measurement, audio engineering praxis, and standards.
